Medicare Insurance Plans Offered
Medicare Supplements:
Medicare Supplement or Medigap Plans are private insurance policies from private insurance companies that work with your original Medicare (Part A & Part B) and help pay the deductibles and co-insurance that Medicare does not cover. Medicare Supplement plans do not include drug coverage.
Medicare Advantage Plans:
Medicare Advantage plans are all-in-one, Medicare-approved plans from private insurance companies that bundle hospital (Part A), medical (Part B), and usually prescription drug (Part D) coverage, often adding extra benefits like dental, vision, and fitness. They are an alternative to Original Medicare.
Part D Prescription Drug Plans:
Medicare Part D drug coverage helps pay for generic and brand-name drugs that you need. It's optional and offered to everyone with Medicare by private insurance companies. Even if you don't take prescription drugs now, consider getting Medicare drug coverage to avoid paying a late enrollment penalty if you join a plan later.
